¡Hola! I'm Hugo Quintero. Loreto has been my hometown for over 50 years — I've hiked its islands, helped protect its national park, and built my family's life here. After directing the municipal water department, I co-founded Eco-Alianza Loreto in 2007, serving since as Loreto Coastkeeper, coordinator of sea turtle monitoring, and member of the Loreto Bay National Park advisory board. A civil engineer with environmental economics training and NOLS wilderness certification, I write about conservation, water security, and sustainable development from the field — not from the outside looking in.
